The Teen Job and Community Service Fair invites all 8th-12th graders to participate in mock interviews (the first 20 to sign up at the fair), attend resume workshops, learn how to sell yourself at application time and interviews, sign up for volunteer work and apply for jobs for teens. A new website has been launched by the US Department of Education. www.college.gov was designed by students for students. It provides relevant, comprehensive information about why to go, how to go, and how to pay for college or other postsecondary education programs. It's a helpful website.

Are you interested in the trades? Many of the union halls are accepting applications now. For a listing of the union halls, see Marsha, the counselor or check out the apprenticeship board at Venture. You need to be 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
